I am very excited about what I am learning. Even thought, Strategic Financial made me open a company because that is the deal they have between John Beck that everybody who does the John Beck’s Free and Clear has to set up a company second week after they start Free and Clear. I did tell the strategic I want to wait, but they said this is the way John Beck wants it. My coach missed few important details during my third session about who exactly to send the letters and whose address for the best result.

I am still very excited because I did set up a company and through the set up I am learning how to do everything from scracth. Now I am reading the paper work and I am learning a lot. So nomatter what, it was great investment. I got set back little with things mention above, but I will use tax sales for long time, so I am not too wory about it.

I only had one coaching session with Tyler.  However, I wish I could have had more.  He knows how to relate to people and explain the process.  I really wish I would have had him thru my entire experience, as I think I would be well on my way.  Unfortunately, I still feel I need a lot more sessions to understand and feel comfortable with the system.

So far we are finding the coaching sessions clear and easy to understand. Mr. Driggs is very friendly and personable. His explanations are clear and easy to understand, we are doing our best to follow his suggestions and instructions. We hope in doing so we will be find some success. The webinars seem to be helpful also. We will be willing to share our success story when we have reached there.

We feel that the program increased our awareness of the investment opportunities.  Tyler was clear on answering our questions and navigating us through the various web sites.  We are not accustomed of being on the computer for long periods, so it was a major challenge finding the time to do our research.  This we'll have to work on.  Our biggest hurdle is dealing with the fact that we went into a bigger debt unnecessarily, without thinking it through and have nothing more to invest.  It was a foolish move; the information we receive, which took 3-4 session, did not worth the cost.  I think we were hopeful for more.

Curtis: Here is a little summary of what we have done so far.
 
My wife and I signed up with John Beck in June of 2008. At this point we knew nothing about buying or selling real estate. I had seen the commercials before, but never paid much attention. After a couple rough weeks at my job, one Saturday morning John's commercial came on and I called the number. It has taken me longer than I wanted to get started, but I guess I was probably overly cautious. Not being familiar with this type of investing, I wanted to make sure I was able to make the money needed to pay for the ""tuition"" which is on a credit card, and also make  my investments sure. I don't have enough money to make mistakes in my investments.

While trying to hold down my current full time job, most of my research was done at night. A couple hours each night was dedicated to researching which auction to attend, which properties to research, and how much to bid. We settled on Brevard County Florida Tax Deed auction 9-11-2008.

My wife Dot and I flew to Florida on the 8th of Sept, rented a car and with a Tom Tom GPS to guide us, we drove past each of the properties that were interested in bidding on. Taking lots of notes on neighboring houses, schools in the area, road conditions, standing water etc, we made a decision to bid on approximately 10 different properties. Coming up to the auction, we were quite nervous, not knowing what to expect, but we ended up buying two properties.  Both are vacant lots in Palm Bay, Florida.  The first one cost us $6400.00, which I think we paid a little to much for.  The second one we bought for $4600.00.  After the sale we drove back to the properties to look at what we bought and to take pictures. While taking pictures, one of the neighbors came out wondering what we were doing. I told him we were taking pictures of the property next door, which we had just purchased. He said he wished he could have bought it and I said he sure can. Though he didn't have enough money, I plan to work out a trade for one of his vehicles. The first property cost us $6400. 00 and we plan on trading it out for a $10,000.00 vehicle. The second property cost us $4600.00 and we are listing it for $7700.00.  Though the assessed value according to the county is $18,000.00-$20,000.00, both properties are valued at between $10,000.00- $15,000.00 retail markets according to a realtor in the area. 

I am hoping to be able to get enough properties bought, first of all to get my tuition money back, then to replace my income so I can devote more time to buying and selling properties.  Dave Roskam
